A reduction in the rate of increase is NOT a cut

OSLO (Reuters) - Developing nations that are fast industrializing, such as China and India, have braked their rising greenhouse gas emissions by more than the total cuts demanded of rich nations by the U.N.'s Kyoto Protocol.

FALSE: Kyoto mandates actual cuts, not reductions in the rate of growth. How retarded do you have to be to not understand the difference?

This story also contains the often repeated lie: "President George W. Bush pulled the United States out of Kyoto in 2001"

The truth is that in 1997 the senate voted 95-0 against becoming a Kyoto signatory, in 1998 The Goracle signed the Kyoto Protocal anyway.  The Clinton administration never submitted Kyoto to the Senate for ratification.  In 2001 Bush made it clear that his administration was not going to seek ratification either.
