If you had a 30 second attention span you might not remember the numerous stories Doyle has written about global warming causing famine and drought:

BONN, Germany (Reuters) - Rains are reviving parched European crops and cargo ships are plying the Rhine fully loaded for the first time in a month but worries remain that global warming is skewing the continent's weather.
What is skewed here is the correspondent who sees "torrential rain", "higher crop yields" and "lower wheat prices" as harbingers of famine and drought.
