Hit and miss

Two articles today, one is very lackluster and un-Doyle-like:

BONN, Germany, May 10 (Reuters) - Twenty-five years after losing a war to Britain over the Falklands, Argentina accused London at a U.N. climate conference on Thursday of wrongly counting the islands' greenhouse gases in its national data.

Aside from the bit about methane being a powerful greenhouse gas this is not at all in the classic style of Alister Doyle. Full story

BONN, Germany, May 10 (Reuters) - The world has a "closing window of opportunity" to agree a pact to fight global warming beyond 2012, the U.N.'s top climate change official said on Thursday.

This is written by the "real" Doyle. Every single paragraph is loaded with alarmist hyperbole. The claim that global warming will cause "water shortages for billions" is especially unhinged. Full story
