People Eating Tasty Animals

If Doyle keeps writing animal rights stories instead of global warming stories I might have to rename this blog.

Here is a 3rd version of the ivory trade story:

African ministers at a U.N. wildlife conference tried to break a deadlock on Wednesday over elephant ivory in a dispute between countries seeking to extend a 1989 export ban and others wanting trade

and now one about eating tiger meat:

Genetic experts have found evidence a restaurant in China has served tiger meat in defiance of a 1993 ban, a U.N. expert said on Tuesday

Seven animal rights stories in the last week and the phrase "climate change" has only been used twice!!

13:00 update - Another version of the tiger meat story, that makes eight non-global warming stories in a row from the Reuters Environment Correspondent:

A U.N. wildlife conference rebuked China on Wednesday for reviewing a 1993 ban on domestic trade in tiger parts amid fears that any sales could drive wild cats to extinction
